Students Help Smokey Mountain Animals
After reading the novel, A Dog Named Christmas, the JCMS eighth grade students wanted to find a way to help animals. Many of our students have visited the Smokey Mountain Area and have developed a great love for the region, so the students decided to donate money to help the pets who were displaced during the wildfires. The students understand that the animals are often forgotten about, so the donations went to the Sevier County Humane Society Fire Relief Fund. Our students’ kind-heartedness and love of animals, helped with the feeding and caring of the pets who needed assistance. JCMS students are great! Ms. Burgess
